Library Media Specialist - Karen Thomas
My family and I moved to Kingston 1983 when my husband, Richard, was hired at Kingston High School. For the next 19 years he was Kingston's Vo-Ag instructor before becoming superintendent at Caddo Public Schools. He retired this past year. My husband and I have two wonderful daughters - Amber Beezley who is an office manager at a dental office in Sherman, Texas, and Maegan Landgraf who is a fourth grade teacher here at Kingston Elementary. In addition, we have three grandchildren who are my pride and joy - Hailee, a fresman at Pottsboro High School, Mason who is in 1st grade here at KES, and Rayden who is three year old. In addition we will be welcoming twins to our family this coming February!
I began my teaching career at Kingston in 1994 at the Middle School as a Language Arts/Social Studies teacher. After 11 wonderful years teaching primarily 7th and 8th graders, I transfered to the elementary as the Library Media Specialist in 2005. It was one of the best decisions of my life! I enjoy working with elementary students and helping them develop a love of reading.
