The first Band Booster meeting went great! Thank you to all who came. We appreciate you! For those who were unable to attend, rest assured you will be welcomed with open arms when you show up to help! We will take it! Here are the highlights from tonight's meeting:

There was a discussion of a possible trip for the kids to participate in a competition and performance at the Liberty Bowl, in Memphis. It would be around the last week of December 2013. We also discussed fundraising to help provide funds for the trip. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we all agreed we wanted to get more information as soon as possible so we could get the ball rolling.

We also established recruitment booths to be held at enrollment at KHS and KMS, and several volunteered to help man them. If you anyone would like to help, please let us know. The dates are: KHS, July 29-31 and KMS August 5-7. There are several shifts available. 

The Band Booster meetings will be held the 2nd Monday of each month, starting August 12 at 6:45 in the band hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend. That includes parents of 6th grade band on up. Please try to attend so you can stay up to date with what is going on.
