Kingston FFA Went to State

The FFA State competition occurred on March 6-16 in Oklahoma City. The attending students from Kingston High School were Sadie Ellis grade 9, Dylan Hardwick grade 12, Mallory Easley grade 10, Matthew Hawkins grade 9 and the youngest contestant Paige Carlile is in the sixth grade.
Sadie went to State with her goat and a heifer, Dylan took a pig and goat, Mallory took a heifer, Matthew showed cattle, and Paige also took a pig. Caroline Dowdy and Georgia Dowdy both took cattle. Oklahoma Youth Expo is also known as (OYE).
Matthew Hawkins won second place with his cattle. FFA Sponsor Chris McGowan says the state competition is, “all about being top dog, and having fun.”
