On April 11, 21 Kingston students attended the Special Olympics Meet in Durant. These students didn’t go to just compete, they went to have fun and enjoy the time they had to get active and spend time with one another.

            The events these students participated in were the 50m run, 100m run, 200m run, 400m run, softball throw, standing long jump and running long jump.

Those running in the 50m run were: Shylie Boatwright, Autumn Conway, Pristina Gomez, Tristin Miills, Tyler Smith, Michael Alley, Marissa Carter, Amy Childers, Lizzie Droddy, Kelli Green, Hannah Mills, David Parker and Tiara Smith.

            Those participating in the 100m run were: Shylie Hux, Bryan Rico, Lillian Bailey, David Parker and Jordan Lehr.

Those running in the 200m run were Shylie Hux and Bryan Rico.

Softball throwers were: Shylie Boatwright, Autumn Conway, Pristina Gomez Julian Ibarra, Angelina Marr, Tristin Mills, Colton Moore, Tyler Smith, Lillian Bailey, Marissa Carter, Amy Childers, Lizzie Droddy, Kelli Green, Hannah Mills and Tiara Smith.

 Destry Looney ran the 400 meter run and Julian Ibarra competed in the standing long jump.

            And lastly, those who attended in the running long jump were: Angelina Marr, Michael Alley, Jordan Lehr and Destry Looney.

            Congratulations to those students who got to go and participate in these events as well as have a chance to get active and enjoy themselves!
