Kingston Band Students make All-District
Two Auditioning for All-State

Kingston Band auditioned for All-District in Durant on November. Kingston has 7 students qualify at all district. Aleah Taylor (clarinet) and Christina Jones (tuba) qualified for high school band. Qualifiers for junior high were Ashlee Ellis (flute) and Glenna Sprouse (tenor saxophone).
Sophomore Cailin Stauffer (alto saxophone) will be attending as First Alternate. Junior high students Celeste Burch (flute) and Kayla “Scary” Taylor (baritone) were also selected as alternates. Alternates are students who will fill in in case someone did not get to come.
Director of bands at Kingston Jon Dohrer said “To have seven kids selected is an honor. There were several schools in our area with no all-district students. The kids worked hard to earn the honor.” These students have worked very hard for this position.”
Kingston has two contestants who qualified for All-State. They are senior Christina Jones and junior Aleah Taylor. The All-State auditions are scheduled for Monday, December 2 and will be held at Westmoore High School is Moore.
