The Kingston High School Show Choir took a trip to Branson, Missouri on April 27-30.

On their first day in the city, the show choir performed as the opening act for the Legends in Concert show and afterwards stayed for the performance which included singing impersonators such as Elvis Presley, George Strait, the Blues Brothers, Johnny Cash, and the Temptations. At the show, the choir was given a trophy for their hardwork and dedication to music.

The KHS Show Choir’s second day in Branson involved a trip to Silver Dollar City and a ride on the Branson Belle Show Boat where they received dinner, a show, and a chance to meet choirs who were also at the show.

On the choir’s last day in Branson they went to The Track Family Fun Parks Track for a day of go-karting, mini golf, and arcade games. Later that night they got a chance to see the Million Dollar Quartet, a play with characters such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported our vocal program and made donations. I am proud of how hard my students have worked and how far we’ve come,” stated Justin Britt, the KHS vocal director, in regards to the show choir’s trip to Branson.
