Chase Pittman a senior at Kingston High School has spent the last two years playing in the Kingston band, directed by Jon Dohrer. His love for music was influenced by multiple members of his family who play instruments and his grandparents owning a dance hall.
Chase has signed with Southeastern Oklahoma State University to play trombone. He chose Southeastern because it’s close to home, he has friends who will be attending, as well as his desire to pursue a degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
Dr. Michael Scheuerman who has been at SOSU for five years and is now the Director of Bands says that Chase is “A great fit for an already strong trombone section.” The music program at Southeastern is growing year after year by getting stronger musicians. This is the fourth year in a row that a KHS senior has signed for a band scholarship and KHS wishes Chase the best of luck!
